2017 Memory Verses

Year Verse – 2 Kings 3:18a NIV/NKJV – “This is an easy thing, a simple matter, in the eyes of the Lord…”

Note: each monthly memory verse will address some area where it is an easy thing, a simple matter for the Lord to deal with!

January Finances/Provision – Malachi 3:10 NASB – “Bring the whole tithe into the store-house, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”

February Finances/Provision – Malachi 3:11 NASB: “Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD of hosts.

March Burdens/Cares –  Psalm 55:22 NASB: Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

April – Fearfulness/Anxiousness – Isaiah 41:10 NASB – “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

May – Daily Strength (physical, emotional, spiritual) – Isaiah 40:31 KJV – “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

June – Tongue/Words – Psalm 141:3 NASB – “Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips.”

July – Peace – Isaiah 26:3 KJV – “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.”

August – Miracle Luke 1:31, 37 NASB – [The angel said] “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus…For nothing will be impossible with God.”  [Kind of hard to find more difficult miracles than 1) a virgin becoming pregnant & 2) infinite God becoming a man.]

September – Lost/Unsaved – 1 Timothy 1:15 NASB – It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. [cf. 2 Chronicles 33:1-20]

October – Bad Habit – Psalm 119:133 NASB – Establish my footsteps in Your word, and do not let any iniquity have dominion (rule, dominate) over me.

November – Broken Relationships – 2 Corinthians 13:11 NASB – Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

December – Sanctification – 1 Thessalonians 5:23 NASB – Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely (NLT: make you holy in every way); and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
